Production Schedule
Here is the schedule for when we are going to film and also take pictures:
Weather
I decided to check the weather for when we will be filming in Birmingham City Centre so that we know it won't be raining when we want to film.
Although it says it may rain we have decided we are still going to try and film.
I also texted the people who are going to be in our trailer to see if they were free to film on Friday:
But we had some problems filming on that day so we made another production schedule for another time:
And the weather for that day is mainly cloudy so we should be okay to film:
I also texted Rachel to let her know that we couldn't do the filming, and we decided to ask the others if they could do it next week instead.
I spoke to Beth-Anne and Menna in person about filming on Saturday and they both said they were free.

Character Profiles
Max
Max is the main protagonist in our trailer and she is 19 years old. Max has a few friends but she's not really popular, but she likes the few friends that she has. Max would be considered to be part of Group E in the Jicnar Scale as she is a student. Max has a positive motivated attitude as she wants to find out what has happened to Faith and the other people that have been kidnapped, however at times she may seem as though she isn't this way. As for Max's lifestyle, she would be like an average teenager, spending a lot of time with her friends or doing her work as this is what is important to her, although since the kidnappings this has become the priority in her life as she doesn't want other people to get harmed so she wants to find them.
As for costumes, Max will dress like an average teenager. She is always seen in jeans, a t-shirt and hoodies as this is what she is comfortable in, and it's also something casual which is how most people her age dress. We have chosen for Max to dress this way because we think that it makes Max more relatable as our target audience will be people that dress similar, and they may think it's strange if she dressed differently. We are trying to represent an average teenage girl as this is what most girls are like and we want our trailer to appeal to them.

Here is what Max will look like:
Faith
Faith is Max's friend that helps her figure out what is going on and where everybody is going after being kidnapped. Faith is 18 years old, but like Max she is a student so she also fits within Group E of the Jicnar Scale. Faith has a slightly negative attitude towards what is going on as at first she doesn't really think they should do anything but she agrees to help Max anyway, and then as they find more clues she becomes more positive and wants to find out what is happening to everyone. As Faith is friends with Max her lifestyle is similar to Max's except she's more outgoing.
Faith's costume is going to be similar to Max's as she is around the same age so she would dress similar, however Faith also likes to wear dresses and skirts unlike Max. Faith is also interested in makeup and wears it often. Her style is also casual like Max's though. We are trying to represent girls who are also normal 18 year olds but are slightly more girlier than how Max is dressed, as we want to appeal to all types of girls.
Here is what Faith will look like:

Kidnapped Girl
As we only see the girl that gets kidnapped once the audience won't know much about her. She will be wearing similar clothes to Max and Faith as she is around the same age as them.
Alex Stansfield
They are the villain in our trailer, and will be in their late teens to early 20s. Not much else is known about them apart from the bad things they have done. They will be wearing dark clothes so that they blend in with the crowd and go unnoticed, also to make them less memorable and generic so when they talk to Max in scene 6 she won't be able to recognise them that easily. To construct the representation of a villain and make them seem more threatening I will use some low angle shots of them in the trailer, and possibly have the soundtrack of the trailer turn kind of eerie or sinister, to emphasize that they aren't a good character..

Synopsis
Our trailer is about a girl called Max that witnesses her friend being kidnapped, however after she wakes up from being knocked out by the person that kidnaps her friend, the police don't believe her so she decides to take matters into her own hands. She enlists the help of her friend Faith, and together they try to find out what is happening as more people begin to go missing. They think that all the people that have been kidnapped have some sort of connection, but they aren't sure what. They get an anonymous message telling them that they may uncover things they don't want to know, but they carry on trying to find an answer. Eventually Max decides to go where her friend and the other people were kidnapped and she waits until they take her. Once they take her to the place she manages to free herself and the others, Then she uncovers who is really behind it all.
Detailed Narrative
Equilibrium - Everything is normal before anyone is kidnapped. They are all just living their lives normally and getting on with what they need to do.
Disequilibrium - Max's friend is kidnapped by somebody. Max witnesses the kidnapping but when she tries to help she's knocked unconcious by an unknown person. When she wakes up she is confused and disorientated, and the police offer her no help and don't believe her. She gets help from her friend Faith who is skeptical about what has happened but still decide to help Max. When they begin to investigate they find out that many people have gone missing, so they decide to investigate further because they think that all of the kidnappings are connected. They are sent an anonymous message warning them to stop trying to find out what has happened because they may uncover things that they don't want to know about the situation. Max decides to ignore the warning and carries on trying to uncover the truth. She comes up with the plan to wait where her friend was kidnapped and wait until they take her. She lets them take her and acts like she;s scared until they leave her with the others. She manages to free herself and the others that were kidnapped and calls the police without the kidnappers finding out that she was doing this. When the police arrive they let Max and the others out of the locked room and find the people responsible for the kidnapping. Once the police have them, it turns out that it was teachers from the school that all of the kidnapped people attended, and they were planning to kill them all. The teachers are taken away and the kidnapped people are allowed to leave and go home.
Equilibrium - Everything is back to normal after the teachers have been arrested and put in prison. The people who were kidnapped told the police everything that happened. Everyone has gone back to how life was before it all happened, and everyone is safe.
Intended Target Audience
My target audience is young adults and teenagers who would fit within Groups C, D and E, but some may be higher. I think that my audience would be a mixture of males and females as they both enjoy this type of film. My target audience would be people who like to go to the cinema, and people who like films that have a mystery edge to them.
Key Characters
Max - Max is the main protagonist in our trailer, who is 19 years old. She usually wears regular clothes such as jeans t-shirts and hoodies.
Faith - Faith is Max's friend who helps her find out what is going on. She is also 18 years old. She dresses quite plain and average, and she wears jeans, skirts, hoodies and t-shirts. She also wears converse or vans.
The way the characters are shown is good representation of what someone of this age would wear, as younger people tend to just wear comfortable cloths as most of them are still in education so they have no reason to dress differently.
Locations
For our film trailer we will be filming in and around Digbeth as it goes well with what we are trying to achieve. As we plan to film at night we also needed somewhere quite well lit. We may also film at other locations such as school, as our characters are the age of sixth form/college students and this would be an appropriate place to film. As we plan to film in public areas and in our school we don't need to get permission to film. We will need to find a suitable place for us to fill within our locations as at some times it my be busy so it wouldn't be good for filming.
Mise-en-scene
The film should have quite a dark and gritty feel to it, to fit with the genre I am working in. To do this I will have quite dark lighting to reflect the mood of the film and also use quite unusual camera shots to make the film feel slightly uneasy, maybe by breaking the forth walk and things like that. Then to add the mysterious element of the film I plan to shot the trailer in a way that you only see glimpses of the film, like if there is a shot on someone's face then had of their face might be obsur or hidden by a shadow, to make it feel like you are only getting snapshots of the action.

Production Planning
Production Company Logo
I also made other possible logos for my production company:
Other Film Production Companies
Because generally most neo noir films are indie or arthouse films, my film would probably be produced by a lesser known production company, or at least a company that is known to support that kind of film.
Film Titles

I also asked a few people in person and they said that they liked the logo but one of them thought that it would be better if the background was lighter
Production Planning

Scene 3 - Max goes back to her house and calls her friend, Faith, for help. When she turns up Max tries to explain what happened and what she saw, the two then start planning how they are going to investigate what happened.
Scene 4 - Several shots of the two around the city, asking people in shops and looking around for evidence.
Scene 5 - They get back to where they are based (with all their found information) and find a note warning them to stop what they are doing. Faith is worried but Max is determined to carry on regardless.

Soundtrack
Possible soundtracks could be-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUvx2q7a3_A
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfO4XJZMGn4
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HitDB-Be_74
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8_zKrmY2y4
These are from film soundtracks like Drive, Tron Legacy, Interstellar which aren't all from my the same genre as my film but they are quite eerie and can build tension but are simple enough that they won't distract from the dialogue. Also some are the instrumental versions of songs, so you can have the tune without the lyrics distracting from the trailer.
I sent an email to the record company asking for permission to use some of the soundtracks in my trailer:

Locations
Scene 1 and 2 -
I've chosen to film around Digbeth and the Custard Factory to get an urban and industrial feel, especially with all the graffiti around that area. It's also quite empty around that area so there won't be that many people around.
Scene 3 -
The scenes set at Max's house will be shot at Rachel's house.
Scene 5-
For the scenes inside Max's I will create a wall with the clues and evidence they've found so far.
This is the board that Rachel made for our trailer. I think it looks really good and looks like someone has actually been kidnapped.

Scene 9-
For the warehouse at the end of the trailer, I plan to use a car park in Birmingham that is usually empty and looks like an abandoned warehouse.
Props
We will have a missing person poster, that Max will be putting up around Birmingham city centre. Then we need a note written to Max and Faith as well. Also we need a note that is sent to Max and Faith, threatening them to stop.
We will also need some fake blood for the second scene.

Risk Assessment
Risk 1
Everyone | City Center
When we are shooting in the city center it's going to be quite dark outside so we need to be careful when filming as we will be near the road and we need to watch out for cars.
We will try to minimise this risk by trying to film not that close to the road as this will also mean that we can focus more on the filming rather than having to also make sure there are no cars coming. Risk 2
Beth & Beth
When Beth & I are getting kidnapped we need to make sure that neither of us gets injured during the fake kidnapping.
We will try to minimise the risk of being injured by making sure that we when are getting kidnapped we make it look more exaggerated and act it out more.
